Q
Skin peeling from under nails

I have skin that is peeling from right under my nails and working its way down my fingers. It has been about 2 weeks now and just gets worse. My GP was unable to assist with a diagnosis. I am starting to stress.

There are a number of possibilities. This could be contact dermatitis from a chemical you are handling, it could be dyshydrotic eczema (otherwise known as pompholyx eczema), palmar psoriasis or even desquamation (skin peeling off) following a recent illness or sudden hormonal change. If your GP isn't sure of the cause you might need to consult a Dermatologist (face-to-face).
