Cholinergic urticaria treatment

Hello, I have been diagnosed with Cholinergic urticaria and am currently taking Zyrtec - Citirizine. I am not sure if I really have Cholinergic urticaria because anti-histamines are working at all and my rashes are different than shown in the picture on your website. When I go outside or get exposed to heat or exercise, I start getting needle like itching and tiny red pimples all over my skin. Mostly arms and chest. It feels as if somebody is poking needles all over my body. I have had this problem occasionally from years, but now it has become consistent through all seasons. Can anyone please tell me how can I treat this or provide any other helpful advice?

It sounds like you have cholinergic urticaria. The symptoms seem typical. Often it does not respond to antihistamines. Perhaps ask your doctor to prescribe a low dose beta-blocker such as Propranolol 10mg and see if you get any better control of the condition.
The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical examination, diagnosis and formal advice. your symptoms are exactly the same as mine. my question is how much is the medication to control it. Because I'm no longer productive at work. once I talk to someone especially a stranger the inching occurs. and I can tell is painfully and not controllable. any responses might help
