Q
Animal Protein

My 5 year old daughter got stomach cramps, diarrhea, asthma, headaches, bloated, flu symptoms, coughs, leg pains( bone pain). When she eats vegan for 5 days she gets better. She has been eating Vegan for 2 years. When we introduce animal products every thing starts all over again. Where can I take her to find out if she has a animal protein allergy? Do you get people how cant make enzimes to brake down protein?

A
Your daughter sounds very unwell and many of her symptoms are not typical of allergy (Flu, bone pain and headaches). You should get your GP to run some tests and do a Full Blood Count to exclude something more serious. Animal protein allergy would cause itchy rashes, facial swelling and vomiting.
