Turns out the Princess of Wales is not good at everything!

The royal admitted her pancake-making skills may need a bit of work during a visit to a nursing home in Slough, England, on 21 February.

Kate's visit to Oxford House coincided with Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras or Pancake Day.

The 41-year-old, who looked effortlessly stylish in a form-fitting navy top and trousers, was seen laughing when the pancake in her frying pan got stuck forcing her to use a spatula to separate it before giving it a little flip.

“I’m sorry,” she told the resident chef. “I haven't done you justice.”

She said her children were much better at it than her, quipping, “I either get pancakes stuck on the floor or on the ceiling.”

Kate struck up a conversation with one of the nursing home’s oldest residents, 109-year-old Nora Muchmore, and the topic turned to their favourite foods.

Her visit came just two days after she and Prince William made a glamorous appearance at the Baftas, where Kate upcycled one of her Alexander McQueen gowns and completed her look with black opera gloves and statement, budget-friendly earrings.
