There's been lots of speculation about what the possible reasons could be behind the long absence of Kate, Princess of Wales, from public duty.
It was announced a while back that Prince William's wife would be taking a break for a few months after undergoing abdominal surgery. But with no word from Kensington Palace about the nature of the surgery, it's led to a lot of curiosity about the princess' health.
Royal sources say while the couple are unlikely to address the issue now, Kate will likely reveal more about her health issues when she returns to public duty.
“The princess might discuss her recovery out on engagements,” a royal source told The Sunday Times. “If she was going to do it, that’s how she would do it.”
The insider noted that both the princess and her husband are “at their most open” when out interacting with members of the public.
“I would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They’re not going to be rushed.”
A statement by Kensington Palace earlier this year said that Kate (42) is expected to return to her royal duties after Easter.

The mom-of-three has been recovering from her planned abdominal surgery in January at her and William’s Windsor home.
At the time of her surgery the princess requested privacy around the details of her medical condition, with a source saying she did not feel it needed to be shared publicly.
However the fact that she's only been seen in public twice since then has fuelled conjecture about her health as well as a bunch of conspiracy theories including that all may not be well in her marriage.
The rumour mill has even suggested that William (41) has been having an affair with a longtime aristocratic friend, Lady Sarah Rose Hanbury, also known as the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.

Kate’s recent Photoshop blunder on a Mother’s Day photo hasn't helped matters either, with sources saying people have lost their trust in her.
Despite all this the couple are expected to release a new photo to mark their youngest son, Prince Louis’ sixth birthday on 23 April.
Meanwhile Princess Diana’s brother, Charles, Earl of Spencer (59), has broken his silence on the conspiracy theories around Kate. During an interview with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, he said, “I do worry about what happened to the truth.”
When asked if the internet conspiracy theories were “more dangerous” than the press intrusion his late sister suffered back in the nineties, he replied, “No, I think it was more dangerous back in the day.”

“I think if I look back to ’97 and Diana’s death, I think that was so shocking too – the circumstances of her death were so shocking, that it did make the industry that supports the paparazzi really consider more carefully what it could and couldn’t do.
“Not because they had a moral judgement, but because it was unacceptable to the public.”
