A teen was rushed to the hospital, in dire need of 40 stitches, after a photoshoot went horribly wrong.

Lara Sanson (17) from Argentina was posing with her pal’s German Shepherd named Kenai for a selfie, when the dog ripped into her face, reports the Mirror.

The moment of terror was caught on camera and shared by Lara online.

“I do not know if I touched its hip or if it reacted because it is old, or it was because I hugged it and scared it,” the teen told a local newspaper.

After the attack, Sanson received about 40 stitches during a two-hour surgery, both on her face and inside her mouth.

The teen said she didn’t feel much pain when she was bitten and is recovering very well.

“I only had some bother due to the inflammation and eating problems,” she says, adding she refused to have the dog put down.

A local vet said the dog may have bitten the teen because of its age, reports news.com.au.

“Its pains are growing and pain could have generated this reaction,” the vet explains.
