The day I heard about the brutal way Tshegofatso Pule died, I had knots in my stomach that took days to loosen up, writes Mpho Raborife, who grew up close to where Pule's body was found.
When you see pictures of Tshegofatso Pule, you see a beautiful, young woman who you may have bumped into in a mall or restaurant or party somewhere in Joburg. Videos shared by her friends of her dancing show you a girl who enjoyed life and probably loved to live in the moment.
My home in Dobsonville is less than 10 kilometres from where Tshegofatso was raised, in Meadowlands, Soweto. Although I did not know her personally, the news of her death struck a familiar chord.
