Tuesday's weather: Fine, warm to hot conditions expected for several provinces

The South African Weather Service has forecast fine and warm to hot conditions for several provinces, with cloudy conditions and morning fog expected elsewhere.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the Kai !Garib, !Kheis and Siyathemba local municipalities in the Northern Cape.

The weather in your region

Gauteng and Mpumalanga will be fine and warm but hot in the north and on the Lowveld.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

Fine and warm to hot temperatures are forecast for Limpopo and the North West.

The Free State will be fine and warm.

Morning fog patches are expected in the Northern Cape along the coast and adjacent interior where it will be cloudy at first.

Otherwise, fine, and cool to warm but hot temperatures are forecast in the east.

The wind along the coast will be a light northerly at first, otherwise a moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly is expected.

The Western Cape can expect cool conditions along the coastal areas where it will be cloudy in the morning with fog patches.

Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm but fine over the central and north-eastern interior.

It will become cloudy over the western and south-western coastal areas from the evening.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, becoming a light south-easterly to southerly along the south coast as well as the west coast north of Cape Columbine where it will be moderate.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Cloudy conditions with morning fog in places over the interior is forecast for the western half of the Eastern Cape, becoming partly cloudy and cool, but fine and warm in the north.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming a light easterly in the afternoon.

The eastern half of the province will be cloudy south of the escarpment with fog in places in the morning.

Otherwise, partly cloudy, and cool but fine and warm temperatures are forecast in the north-west.

Light rain is possible along the coast and north-east of the Kei Mouth.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate south-westerly, becoming easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal will be cloudy in the south and east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions are expected.

Isolated showers and rain are expected in the south-east.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly, becoming easterly to south-easterly in the south from the afternoon.
