The Mdzananda Animal Clinic in the Khayelitsha has been damaged by devastating storms that hit parts of Western Cape over the weekend.

The severe weather conditions caused significant damage to the clinic's infrastructure.

A spokesperson for the shelter, Marcelle du Plessis, said that even though the damage to the property was significant, the animals that were kept inside had not been injured and had not broken out of their cages.
