Electricity was restored to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital on Tuesday morning, two days after a power failure at the Ridge substation in the Johannesburg CBD.
A senior doctor at the hospital told News24 that power had returned to the facility after 11:00.
Healthcare workers at the hospital said on Monday that patient care was being hindered by the power disruption since Sunday at 11:00.
