South Africa's military chief General Rudzani Maphwanya is yet to advise Defence Minister Thandi Modise on what disciplinary measures should be taken against those involved in the botch R200-million Cuban drug deal.
Eyebrows were raised when the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) spent nearly R215 million to import Heberon Alpha R 2B, manufactured by a Cuban-Chinese company, which is believed to be effective against the coronavirus.
However, the drug is not registered with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (Sahpra).
