The 2023 Global Dust Study by vacuum manufacturer Dyson revealed that despite 53% of households having someone with allergies, only 33% of those surveyed were aware that pollen can reside in dust and 32% knew about the potential presence of dust mite faeces – both common allergy inducers.

Maintaining a hygienic home for your loved ones remains in managing common allergies that can flare up as a result of the germs found in our household dust. This has been made easier with the Dyson V15 Detect. The new range generation of cord-free vacuum cleaners has been engineered to reveal hidden dust and is equipped with an acoustic piezo sensor to enable scientific proof of what's been sucked.

“As engineers, our job is to solve daily problems, and the past 12 months have created plenty of new ones with more time spent indoors. We are all cleaning more frequently, trying to remove the additional house dust but desperate for peace of mind that our homes are truly clean. The Dyson V15 is both powerful and intelligent, giving the ultimate reassurance – scientific proof of a more hygienic, cleaner home,” says James Dyson, Chief Engineer and Founder

The V15 Detect uses a Dyson Hyperdymium motor which generates up to 230 air watts of suction and 5-stage filtration captures 99.99% of dust particles down to 0.3 microns for a powerful deep clean.

Its angled beam allows it to detect hidden dust on the floor surface that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye.

"Dyson engineers integrated a green angled beam – chosen for its ability to provide the best contrast – into the Slim Fluffy cleaner head, positioning it precisely at a 1.5 degree angle, 7.3mm off the ground. It means hidden dust on the floor surface that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye can be seen and removed," says Dayson.

It also features a piezo sensor which enables the user to measure the dust the vacuum detects and then displays it on an LCD screen for real-time scientific proof of a deep clean.

ANTI-TANGLE TECHNOLOGY

Other features include a new anti-tangle Hair Screw that spirals hair off the brush bar and onto the bin. This feature is specifically designed for both pet and human hair. The new anti-tangle High Torque cleaner head has 56 polycarbonate teeth which look like a comb and prevent tangling around the bristles when you are cleaning. It also automatically clears hair from the brush bar, so you don’t have to.
