Two arrested in Kraaifontein with R270,000 worth of 'khat'

Two Somalian nationals were arrested in Kraaifontein on Saturday morning when found in possession of the street drug ‘khat’ to the value of R270 000.

The Northern Cape provincial organised crime investigations unit and the Colesberg Highway Patrol followed up on a tip-off and with the assistance of the Western Cape organised crime investigations narcotics unit, the investigation led police to Kraaifontein, according to Lieut Col Sergio Kock of the office of the provincial police commissioner of the Northern Cape.
