A man (31) was found hanging from an apartment building in Park Drive, St George's Park, at approximately 11:30, this morning, September 13.
According to an onlooker, a schoolboy walking by first saw the man’s body hanging from the 7th floor of the apartment building and attempted to alert the maintenance workers in the complex.
The man’s body was hanging for approximately two hours until emergency services removed his body from the scene.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu said that police have opened an inquest following an alleged suicide at a block of flats in Park Drive, St George's Park.
“It is alleged that a 31-year-old man hung himself while working. He is from a maintenance company that is doing renovations at the complex,” said Naidu.
She said that the next of kin will be informed.
