SAPS Mount Road detectives are investigating an inquest and murder following the discovery of a man's and woman's body in their home in Sydenham yesterday, October 16.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 14:30, the residents in the house became suspicious after the couple failed to wake up all day.
"The grandmother of the deceased opened the door with a duplicate key.
"The bodies of Nolitha Dyosi (49) and Thansanqa Dyosi (51) were found dead with gunshot wounds," said Janse Van Rensburg.
"Nolitha had two gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach, and Thansanqa had one to the face. The firearm, a 9mm Norinco belonging to the deceased, was found in the room. "
