The Candice Johnstone Dance Academy is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated dance production, Flex, a culmination of the past five years of artistry, innovation and boundless creativity.

These performances promise to be a mesmerising fusion of ballet and contemporary dance. The production will showcase the highlights of the academy’s journey through the COVID-19 challenges, while celebrating the resilience of its young studio and the contrasting talents of its exceptional dancers.

Flex not only commemorates the trials and tribulations, but also welcomes new opportunities that have arisen from adversity.

“Our dancers have shown incredible strength and determination,” said Johnstone, founder and choreographer of the academy. “They have cultivated their talents, and Flex is a celebration of their growth, resilience and the unique blend of ballet and contemporary styles that define our academy.”

The production promises to be a dazzling display of emotion and expression, showcasing the dancers’ ability to convey complex narratives through movement.

Flex will take place at the Savoy Theatre from Thursday to Saturday, October 26 to 28. Tickets are available for purchase at R150 a ticket through Candice Johnstone on 083 368 1301.
