A cloud burst this morning, April 22, led to the complete flooding of the N10 route with the Eastern Cape Department of Transport sending an alert to motorists to be cautious on the roads.

Departmental spokesperson, Unathi Binqose said that motorists needed to be extra cautious.

"This is making for less-than-ideal driving conditions as roads are wet and slippery with threats of mudslides and flooding in low-lying areas. The N10 road near Cradock had to be temporarily closed to traffic in the early hours of this morning as flood water swept even articulated trucks off the roads," he said.
