Strolling through the farmers market at the weekend, I read a quote that stuck with me: "In life, much like smoothies, you get out what you put in."
And I'm all for being able to chuck all that's good for me in a blender and drink it on the go. For me, a smoothie is a delicious and convenient breakfast or snack packed with nutrients and disguised as a milkshake. Sounds pretty damn good if you ask me.
However, a new study has seemingly debunked the value of the one ingredient we likely all use in our smoothies, suggesting it might actually reduce its nutritional value.
