Regular workout routines can do great things for your health and well-being, especially when it comes to strengthening your heart.

Evidence from multiple scientific studies shows that it can help to reduce blood pressure, improve your cholesterol levels, give you better blood sugar regulation, and help your sympathetic nervous system (which controls your heart rate and blood pressure) to be less reactive.

However, when it comes to the time of day to exercise to reap these heart health benefits, researchers behind a large new study say morning workouts - regardless of the total amount of daily exercise - are more likely to be associated with a lower risk of heart disease and stroke.
