  • The bride then suggested that her friend goes home to cover it up.

Weddings are a time to celebrate love with friends and family. It's also a time to spend with loved ones while showering the couple with love and words of wisdom.

However, this bride offended her friend by making an inappropriate comment about her skin condition when she told her to cover up, so her guests didn't ask questions.

Taking to Reddit, the friend of the bride starts by telling users that she is 24 years old and has psoriasis all over her body, and it presents like vitiligo in a way. She continues to add that she has medicated creams which help her with the itchiness and dryness.

"The psoriasis is all over my body, stopping right on my neck, and I do have a few spots on the sides of my face near my ears," she says, adding that she has always been embarrassed and cannot apply enough makeup to cover it because the psoriasis is textured and thick.

Her doctor recommended not to smother the areas with makeup as it tends to make it worse and itchier. Fast forward to her friend's wedding day, and she bought a dress that covered her body fairly well because she didn't want to draw any attention to herself.

"The entire week leading up to the wedding, I was continuously testing concealers on the remaining spots that were exposed, which left my skin itchy, and I scratched my skin raw. With psoriasis, those areas sometimes bleed if you scratch too much, which is what happened," she shared.

She attended the wedding with her boyfriend, which she says was great. She also shares that she was extremely happy for her friend and her now husband, but when cocktail hour came things went south.

"She (the bride) pulled me aside and asked if I was going home to cover my psoriasis. I was a little taken aback and explained I couldn't, as the entire week I had been testing concealers, and it made it 20 times worse. She told me she didn't care, this was her wedding, and she didn't want her guests asking me questions or feeling queasy during dinner," shared the disappointed woman.

Her boyfriend stepped in and told the bride that if that was the case, they would leave, which they did. Following the incident, the bride is furious and has been ranting to their friends about it.

Redditors came in the comment section to support the woman by pointing out how offensive what her friend said was. "That would be the day our friendship ended, and her [being] blocked on everything... Also, any friends that agree with her are no longer mutual friends either."

Another person pointed out that her boyfriend did well by supporting her. "You have a great boyfriend! That's some husband energy right there. That lady is not your friend. She's a shallow harpy with a cruel streak.".
