Adventurous actor Mandy Moore has scaled a mountain while pumping breastmilk for her baby son, August.

The This Is Us star, who gave birth to her first child in February, reached the summit of Mount Baker in Washington, a 3.285km glacier-covered stratovolcano.

She shared multiple images of the tough climb on her Instagram story timeline, showing off the fact that she had to take lots of breaks to pump milk. Mandy and her friends set off for the summit at midnight before reaching the top 4 1/2 hours later.

The new mom wrote alongside a picture as she gave a proud thumbs-up, "We made it," adding that she's "never been this tired".
