From a Joburg kitchen to 400 spas and hotels: How skincare brand Africology was built

Renchia Droganis started Africology, a luxury skincare brand known for its natural African ingredients, in her Johannesburg kitchen.

Due to limited space in her home, Droganis had two of her children share one bedroom and converted another into a storage area for her growing catalogue of products, which she cooked up over the stove and hand-mixed in the sink. She also enlisted the family's assistance in more laborious tasks, like cutting and applying product labels.
