Reader: I am a 30-year-old man.

My partner and I used to have sex almost every day before we moved in together in 2015. But now things are very different.

We hardly kiss and only have sex once or twice a month.

Sometimes when I try to kiss her she’ll move away. This has made me lose interest in her.

I once got tempted and slept with another woman who told me that she only wanted sex for that moment.

I am not proud of what I did. I love my fiancée and I don’t know what to do anymore. Whenever I bring this up, we end up fighting. This is a very stressful situation.

Jade: The only real thing that will resolve this situation is communication. You need to have the uncomfortable but necessary conversation with your fiancée.

Ask her why she no longer enjoys sex with you and why she pulls away when you attempt to be affectionate. It will not be easy, but it must be done.

It’s also important to realise that the frequency with which you initially had sex will change with time.

But I understand your concern and the fact that you’re not happy with having sex just twice a month. Talk to her about what is bothering you.

Reader: My partner has a wet and wide vagina. Could this be because she is cheating on me with a guy with a bigger penis?

Jade: You should be happy with a wet vagina. When you’re having sex with your partner it means she’s aroused if all the other considerations of consent are in check.

Having a wet vagina does not mean she is cheating on you. The vagina is elastic. It stretches to accommodate whatever is being inserted – whether it be a penis or a tampon. It goes back to its natural size when it is not being used.

Reader: Here’s something I really want to know.

If you have sex with someone who is HIV positive using a condom, and after sex she wipes the inside of her vagina with a wet cloth and then uses the same cloth to wipe your penis, is there any chance of being infected with HIV?

Jade: As long as the penis skin is intact your chances of being infected are slim. Also, if the woman is on anti-retro viral treatment, chances of infecting you are slim, especially if her viral load is low. But I would advise you to get tested so that you know your own status.
