Rosalind Butler's new play, Expelled, which tells the story of how social media posts gone wrong can lead people’s lives to unravel, opened at The Market Theatre in Newtown, Johannesburg, this past weekend.

Set in an elite private school for the privileged few with well-toned financial biceps, the story is told through the eyes of a matriculant, Alex (played by Nicolas Hattingh) whose schooling comes to a screeching halt when a viral video leads to his suspension.
