Axed Gauteng health MEC Bandile Masuku has made an urgent court application to overturn Special Investigating Unit (SIU) findings against him, which led to Premier David Makhura removing him from his position.
In the court papers, Masuku stated that the SIU findings lacked both factual and legal foundation and employed the wrong sections of the Public Finance Management Act and the Constitution to apportion blame to him for his handling of the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the province.
