Traditional healers, who have graduated as medical doctors have struck a balance between western and traditional ways of healing, especially for cancer patients.

Last year, KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane said most black people sought traditional help after being diagnosed with cancer as they believed the illness was a consequence of certain ancestral traditions not having been performed.
