Daytime nap extreme shivering

I tend to need a nap in the afternoon. I sleep well at night with no issues, but I have a form of non Hodgkin's lymphoma which leaves me very tired. When I have an afternoon nap I fall asleep quickly. As I start to drift off to sleep and periodically through my sleep, I am woken by violent shivering type body tremors and a feeling of being cold. I am not cold, I am well dressed with blankets, a gown and even a hot water bottle. Nothing prevents these short violent tremors which I am aware of as they disturb me. Often I get up because of them and still feel tired. what causes them?
