Q

Good day. I went for an MRI and the report says the following : Mild to moderate multilevel degenerative disc disease changes is seen. Disc bulging is noted on the C3-4,C4-5,C5-6 and C6-7 levels, most pronounced o the C6-7 level. Mild disc dehydration is seen on all the mentioned levels. Mild disc space narrowing is seen on all the mentioned levels. Axial Imaging : all normal, except : C5-6 Intraspinal disc protrusion causes a degree of lateral recess narrowing on the left side. No obvious root compression is seen. C6-7 Intraspinal disc extrusion causes slight canal narrowing with distortion of the thecal sac and slight posterior displacement of the cor. No cord compression. Mild narrowing of the right lateral recess is seen but no obvious nerve root compression could be seen. No pronounced foraminal stenosis. I have been struggling with extreme pain in my arm for the last 4 months. My lower arm front muscle feels like it gets stiff and I can't straighten it during the night especially. Pain in fingers and shock like feeling in arm and hands. Pain in shoulder blade on right side. I am scheduled for op on 16 January. What is your opinion?

You have obviously had your operation and it would help if you could let us know if the symptoms in the arm got better
