Q
Tingling sensation on left shoulder and lower neck

I have a tingling sensation as if ants or some small insects were running across the top of my left shoulder and lower neck. It repeats several times an hour but disappears when I massage the area. My GP referred me to a physio as he thought a pinched nerve may be the problem. However, after two physio sessions I still have this tingling sensation- if anything even more frequently.. Can you suggest a possible cause. It is not painful but irritating

A
There may be some irritation to a nerve in the neck (Cervical) spine, perhaps a slightly slipped disc. If the problem persists you may need to see a Neurosurgeon and have a MRI scan.
