A
Swelling of the tongue (called Angioedema) can be caused by many triggers. Medications such as aspirin and blood pressure pills, complement deficiency, mouth washes, food allergy could all be triggers and sometimes no apparent trigger is ever identified which can be very frustrating. You should see your GP for some preliminary blood testing, review of any regular medications and many need to go onto a preventative treatment.
