Q
Seasonal rhinitis

Hi Dr Morris, I am an ex-Capetonian, lived in Kent for 20 years, & just moved  to the Sussex Coast. I do have seasonal rhinitis, and I am an active runner. For the past 6 weeks I've had a continual hoarse voice, mucous and a runny nose. Antihistamines don't help. A steroid nasal spray. What could be causing this? Invisible mould, dust, unknown tree fungus? please help.

A
It is possible you have developed Vasomotor Rhinitis if you are "middle aged". Ask your GP to prescribe a course of Rinatec nasal spray instead of the antihistamines and steroid sprays.
