Q
Allergy and Lupus

My wife suffers from Lupus. Advanced after about 30 years. Inflammation around heart and brain and urinary organs. Previous treatments were huge doses of cortisone. The last 5 ears or so moved by specialists to chemotherapy and various antihistamines combined with her blood pressure, cholesterol and hormone medication. Any connection with this immunotherapy?

A
As far as we are aware, there is no link between Lupus and allergy. It is a devastating chronic degenerative condition. Allergen immunotherapy is unlikely to be of any benefit.
