My son is 5,he will be 6 in August, his teacher contacted me and said she is really struggeling with him, he refuses to do his work he does not want to sit still, he gets very emotional and keeps on saying he cannot do the work. I spoke to my son and he started to cry and just he doesnt want to go to school anymore, he cant do the work. I started with bio strath and brain child today, I dont know what to do. My husbund got retrenched so we have no medical aid at the moment, is there somewhere I can go for a ADHD evaluation? I am totally lost at the moment.

Your son is still very young. A number of factors may contribute to him not being able to sit still and to focus. Please ensure that he is sleeping enough and eating well. He may also be anxious? It is always a good idea to have a proper assessment prior to starting any medication. I would recommend that you first consult with an occupational therapist for a developmental assessment.
