The first couple of minutes have seen Arsenal with all of the ball. Bayern are keeping a narrow shape and waiting for a cheap giveaway.

CLOSE! Bayern have the first shot. It's worked to Sane on the right, he works it to Kimmich on the overlap and Kane volleys wide. It lacked power and direction as he was under pressure.

Wide! Kane has another shot. Musiala went on a mazy run before tripping. Rice then went down too easily to buy a freekick but none was given. It was worked to Kane and he fired a pot-shot to the right of Raya's goal.

Martinelli has a first dribble as he nutmegs Kimmich. Sane comes back for Bayern to bail out his teammate. Remember, Kimmich was outstanding in the first leg.

Wide! Martinelli comes inside to link with Havertz before curling a shot wide. That's a sighter from the Brazilian.

For the first time, we see Saka come to life for Arsenal. He goes past Mazraoui on the outside but his cross is too heavy and goes out for a throw-in on the far side.

Arsenal are too safe here so far. They've having about two thirds of the ball but they've not showing bravely to find passes between the lines. Havertz keep dropping off to show for a pass but his teammates are taking the low-risk option.

Close! Mazraoui switches play with a diagonal over Tomiyasu's head for Sane. He takes the ball down and gets to the byline but his cross is blocked away for a corner.

Kimmich delivers the first corner of the night from the right. His in-swinging delivery is comfortably headed clear by Gabriel. Bayern need better delivery and box movement than that.

Foul: Jorginho has a couple of nibbles at Musiala and brings him down. The referee gives Arsenal's midfielder a polite warning but no card.

After some patient possession from Arsenal to work the ball side to side, it's sent to Rice on the edge of the box. He fires off a shot but Goretzka was out to him quickly to charge down the effort. Seconds late, Martinelli wriggles into the box and nearly finds a way through.

CLOSE! Brilliant flowing football down the left by Bayern. Guerreiro finds Mazraoui on the overlap and his cross deflects narrowly wide of the post off White's boot.

SAVE! Arsenal stand off Musiala and allow him a shot. Raya does well to push it away to the side. It reaches Kimmich and his cross is cleared by Saliba. Die Roten have come to life somewhat after quite a dopey and cautious start in front of their own fans.

It's more Bayern pressure now. Kimmich receives to cross from the right half-space but Saliba heads clear with Kane lurking. Saka tries to carry the ball on the counter attack but Guerreiro gets back to make a clean tackle.

Arsenal finally try something a bit more inventive as Jorginho slides a pass for White's forward foray. The fullback crosses to the back post but Kimmich is there to volley clear for Thomas Tuchel's side. Remember, Tuchel made the final of this competition in 2020 and won it with Chelsea in 2021.

SAVE! Odegaard fires off a shot from distance which takes a nick off Laimer and that deflection forces Neuer into a good diving save.

Close! Odegaard slides a pass for Havertz behind the Bayern back four. Neuer reads it well to beat his fellow German to the ball but Havertz was well offside and the flag goes up belatedly.

Save! Now Neuer has to save after Odegaard found Martinelli's run to the penalty spot. The latter didn't open his body enough to find a corner and it's instead straight at the goalkeeper.

Some nice Bayern play sees Kimmich find the run of Musiala into the box. Jorginho tracks the former Chelsea academy player effectively and concedes a corner.

Kimmich takes the resulting corner shot to Guerreiro and his cross hits Saka in the face. The winger will need some treatment.

Some drama there because Arsenal sent their entire team for a quick teamtalk on the sideline. Bayern take a throw-in quickly but the referee doesn't allow play to continue. Bayern feel they had every right to restart play, whether Arsenal were having an impromptu team meeting or not!

Foul: After Rice catches Laimer on the ball in his own half, Goretzka is forced to trip Martinelli. Maybe the Gunners have been riled up by that quick throw-in incident and will press a bit more aggressively now.

Shot! Rice curls a tempting freekick into the Bayern box and Havertz flicks it towards goal. Neuer is well placed to catch an effort that lacked power.

Wide! Bayern have started to lose the ball cheaply and Kane is some 20 yards from his own box helping to defend. Tomiyasu crosses into the box but White shoots well wide on his left foot.

These sides are nullifying each other so far, not least the job Mazraoui is doing on Saka. The latter tries a run on he break the Moroccan gets back to win the ball.

HALF TIME. It's not been a great match at all so far. Bayern have had one shot on target whilst Arsenal have drawn some saves out of Neuer without truly looking like scoring. Wow, after some physical aerial duels, a long kick from Arsenal is sent towards Martinelli's run. Neuer comes about 30 yards off his line and heads a calm pass to a teammate to relieve the pressure.

We have a break in play now as Tomiyasu has taken a knock to the eye. It seems he has lost a contact lens! The physio has a new one and a mirror on the pitch to sort out the Arsenal fullback.

Arsenal nearly work something as Tomiyasu shows his, erm, vision to find Martinelli in the box. The latter's touch isn't great and De Ligt can fly into an aggressive tackle to clear the danger.

Yellow card, Bayern Munich: Laimer is caught wrong side of Odegaard and pulls back the Gunners captain. That's a clear booking.

Top defending by Dier! Martinelli's cross nearly reaches Havertz in the box but the former Tottenham defender makes the first contact to prevent the Gunners from the all-important first goal in this second leg.

Close! Musiala glides past Jorginho like he doesn't exist. He finds Guerreiro and Gabriel deflects the pass just past his own goal with Raya off his line.

Jorginho plays a ball over the top for Havertz despite Bayern's deep line. The forward has a good first touch but his second one sends the ball straight out of play. Things are bit congested for something like that to work.

Block! Musiala wins the ball off Rice with a clean tackle. He sends it to Goretzka on the edge of the box and Saliba has to come out to block the midfielder's shot.

Kimmich goes over to take the corner on the left. It's an inswinging delivery but it sails straight out of play. That 40 yard dash to the far side was all for nothing.

Arsenal hanging on a bit now! Sane roasts Tomiyasu before Gabriel comes across well. It falls for Kimmich to shoot and Saliba wildly clears over his own crossbar.
