Eastern Cape police have arrested three suspected house robbers after they accidentally pressed a security panic button after entering a property in Mount Pleasant.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge said the men entered the home in Phyllis Street under the pretence of being buyers of a second-hand solar power battery.
When the homeowner opened the door for them, they held him up at gunpoint, tied him up with shoelaces and locked him in one of the bedrooms while they ransacked the house.
