Three people were shot dead during a taxi-related incident in Inanda, north of Durban, in the early hours of Tuesday.
KwaZulu-Natal police said an unknown number of suspects opened fire on the deceased and attempted to kill one other person in the Nhlungwane area of Inanda.
"The police responded to reports of a shooting on Mpunzi Road and, upon arrival, two bodies – one of a man believed to be in his early 40s and another of a 24-year-old woman – were found lying on the road with multiple gunshot wounds," said police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda.
