The battle for control of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal after 29 May is hotting up as two former presidents campaign on opposite sides.
On Thursday, former president Thabo Mbeki hit the streets of Soweto and embarked on a walkabout at Jabulani Mall to secure the vote for the ANC, while former president Jacob Zuma addressed uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party supporters from a terrace with two helipads at his KwaDakwadunuse homestead in Nkandla. Zuma's address was part of an "unveiling" event.
