Technology using DNA-based genealogy led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man who committed a double murder in Sweden 16 years ago - and the scientist who worked on the case wants the knowledge to be accessible to other countries.
Professor Andreas Tillmar is a forensic geneticist at the National Board of Forensic Medicine, and a lecturer in the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at Linköping University, Sweden.
Along with a handful of people with varying degrees of expertise, he spent many months solving the case that sparked shock and fear among the country's citizens, he told Health24.
