  • MaBlerh returns as host of The Real Housewives of Durban reunion.
  • Showmax will air the season 4 reunion in two parts on 15 and 22 May.
  • The cast's last dinner in the Namibian desert ended in scuffles in true RHOD style.

Season four of The Real Housewives of Durban ended even more dramatically than in the previous season. Glasses were smashed, and words were exchanged, leaving viewers wanting more of the clap backs from Sorisha and high emotions.

MaBlerh will be front and centre when the tea spills at the reunion.

The media personality is returning to host the two-part reunion, which will air on Showmax on 15 and 22 May.

The last episode ended in true RHOD style with fights that didn't make sense. Cast members Nonku Williams and Slee Ndlovu revived season 3's drama, while Maria Valaskatzis and Angel Ndela had round two of their spat.

"I know how heavily invested the audience is in The Real Housewives of Durban, which is why I can never go in there and be flippant," said MaBlerh in a press statement shared with News24.

The women had their last dinner in the Namibian desert, red carpet style, with a special chef flown in to cater to them.

The show ended with the women split in half, as they were throughout the show without a truce.

On one side were Sorisha Naidoo, Slee Ndlovu, and newcomers Ameigh Thompson and Angel Ndlela.

Jojo Robinson, Maria Valaskatzis, Nonku Williams, and newcomer Zama Ngcobo were on the other side.

The ladies kept viewers glued to their screens every Wednesday until the final episode aired on 24 April.

MaBlerh claims he was cautious at last season's reunion and said things would be different this time.

"When I approached the reunion last year, it was different. Things were very heated and the ladies were barely speaking to one another, so I had to be very sensitive and aware of everything that had happened. With Season 4, it's going to be different because it is not the same season, but I'm still going to get to the bottom of things and I'll hold the ladies accountable for the things they have said and done."

"There are people who wake up at midnight to watch the show, so I know that I have to take it seriously and deliver on all fronts. I am honoured to be breaking the record for an African host, and I'm excited to be back for the second time. It's going to be a more comfortable experience for the ladies because we now have a rapport."

Let it Rain Films' executive producer Sam Kelly said they chose Mablerh because he is a big fan of reality TV shows.

"He is a fantastic host, and he did a spectacular job last season; he managed to tackle the themes with the grace and sensitivity they needed."
