- Pearl Thusi and DJ Zinhle have been friends for six years.
- Their friendship made headlines when DJ Zinhle went to Dubai 'without' Pearl.
- Pearl said she and DJ Zinhle were evolving, so they sometimes won't agree on things.
While many speculate that Pearl Thusi and DJ Zinhle's friendship is ending, the two women recently showed each other love on their Instagram pages.
DJ Zinhle has once again found herself at the top of social media trend lists after a video of her in Dubai with friends surfaced online, and Pearl was nowhere in sight.
Their friendship, that goes as far back as 2017, is always under scrutiny, and their fans noticed that the pair are not as close as they used to be, leading to speculations that their friendship is broken.
However, almost as a reply to the imaginary split, Pearl shared a throwback snap of her and DJ Zinhle on her Instagram stories and captioned it, "6 years ago, Love you." She tagged the DJ in the post, who also reposted it on her stories.
In previous years, the pair were inseparable, sitting in front-row seats at fashion shows and attending red-carpet events. However, Pearl is seen less and less with DJ Zinhle.
Admitting that their friendship dynamic has changed, she got candid about her relationship with the famous DJ when she was a guest on DJ Fresh's podcast, 'WAW (What a Week). '
"Zinhle and I have always been friends. I consider Zinhle to be a sister, to be honest, and I have three sisters," said Pearl.
"There have been many times when I've had a sister where we don't speak for half a year, or a long time, just to give each other peace because we can't seem to find some sort of equilibrium...
"We're adults, we're growing, we're evolving, so, sometimes we're going to have moments where we're not agreeing on things."
Pearl recently made one of her dreams come true and launched her career as a DJ. She made her debut at the Makhelwane Festival in Mzimhlophe, Soweto in February.
"Whether this makes sense to you or not… worry about yourself and making your dreams come true. I pray this convinces you to never give up on what you want to achieve," the Queen Sono actor shared.
"I was always so worried what everyone would say about this decision – for nearly a decade. Angisana ndaba nezinkulumo zabantu (I no longer care about what people have to say)… I practised until I couldn't stand anymore… I'm so happy because I overcame the fear of judgement – forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I'm free."
