Artists participating in the first inaugural Capital Arts Fair Tshwane (CAFT)  have hailed the fair as a positive step toward inclusive art. 

The fair, held at Menlyn Maine, Central Square in Pretoria from 5 - 7 April, took an unconventional approach. Rather than collaborating with established galleries to source artists, the organisers invited independent artists to participate.

This decision was widely praised by those advocating for art to become more accessible to broader audiences.
