Coffee is a huge part of the millennial culture – and we spend more money on this stimulating beverage than any generation before us.
But how are those multiple cups of coffee a day affecting your waistline?
Our in-house barista Freeman Nkosekhaya Nofemele gave us insight into the most ordered types of coffees, as well as explaining in detail the differences between them. Many of us may not realise that there is a difference between for example a cappuccino and the now more commonly ordered flat white. The cappuccino is a shot (single/double) espresso with steamed milk and thick foam, while a flat white is similarly a shot (single/double) of espresso, steamed milk and a thin layer of foam.
According to Health24, an average, moderately active woman between the ages of 18 and 50 needs 2 200 calories, and an average, moderately active man between the ages of 18 and 50 needs 2 900 calories to maintain their weight.
