There was a 24% increase, or 222 391 more travellers, compared with last year, according to the commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA), Mike Masiapato, who announced the outcomes of the 10-day Easter plan implementation, which ran from 26 March to 4 April.

He said that over the Easter holiday, the BMA had assisted about 1 136 250 travellers at the country's 71 ports of entry.
